AI Chat
The web wallet includes a chat powered by OPoI, Cloud Service's proof-of-inference protocol. You ask a question, a miner on the network runs the model, and the answer comes back — with the whole exchange recorded on-chain.
It looks and behaves like any AI chat. The blockchain part runs underneath.
What you need
- The CS Coin browser extension, version 1.5.1 or later
- An unlocked wallet
You do not need a balance. OPoI transactions carry no inputs and no outputs — they move no value. Miners are paid from the block coinbase, not from your funds. A brand-new wallet with zero CS can start chatting immediately.
Using it
Open Chat in the wallet, type a question, press Enter.
The first time you send a message, the extension asks you to approve a signature. It shows the exact text being signed, and reminds you that your private key is not sent — only the signature of that one message. This is the same protection that applies to sending funds: nothing is signed without you seeing it first.
Each answer carries a small seal:
| Seal | Meaning |
|---|---|
registering on the blockchain… | The miner answered; the network is still settling it |
✓ registered on the blockchain | Settled and proven on-chain |
The seal changes on its own. You do not have to wait for it — the answer is already yours to read.
Why the answer arrives before it is settled
OPoI settles answers through a commit-reveal cycle: miners commit a hash of their answer, and only after the commit window closes can anyone reveal it. That window is what stops one miner from copying another's answer.
It was never meant to hide the answer from the person who asked for it. So the wallet shows you the answer as soon as the miner produces it, and lets settlement finish in the background. Waiting for the full cycle would mean waiting minutes on testnet — and hours on mainnet — for something already available in about a second.
How long it takes
Response time is dominated by whether the miner already has the model loaded in memory:
| Situation | Typical time |
|---|---|
| Model already loaded | a few seconds |
| Model needs loading | up to a few minutes |
The inference itself takes roughly a second. Everything else is the model loading, and the network finding a miner.
When it does not answer
"No miner has answered yet." Your question is on the network and still valid — it may be answered shortly. Nothing was lost.
"The question expired." No eligible miner responded within the window. Ask again; each question is drawn independently.
"The chat is temporarily unavailable." The operator turned it off, or no miner is currently serving the configured model.
"Update the CS Wallet extension to use the chat." Your extension predates the signing capability the chat needs. Update it and reload the page.
Privacy
Your question text is not stored on-chain. Only its hash is. The text goes to the miner that answers it, and the answer is published on-chain once the cycle settles.
Treat a question the way you would treat a message to a third party: the miner that serves it sees it in full.
Limits
Each wallet address has a daily message limit, set by the operator. It exists because the network's own rate limiting counts requests per connection, not per person — without a per-user cap, one heavy user would consume everyone else's capacity.
